The Opportunity
Become a valued member of our Accounting team. and be part of a tight-knit group of six dedicated professionals shaping the financial foundation of Polestar’s largest legal entity. As part of Group Accounting, you’ll collaborate with colleagues across global business units, ensuring accurate, timely closings and financial reporting.

This role is based at Polestar HQ in Gothenburg.
The Responsibilities
- Monthly Financial Closings & Reporting: Manage and coordinate SAP-based financial closings; ensure accurate reporting in the AARO consolidation system.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Review and analyze monthly financial reports to ensure accuracy and alignment with business goals.
- SOX Compliance & Account Reconciliation: Oversee SOX control compliance and maintain meticulous account reconciliations.
- Process Optimization: Drive efficiency improvements in the monthly closing process, enhancing overall productivity.
- Annual & Quarterly Reports: Assist in preparing comprehensive Annual and Quarterly Reports to support business insights.
- Tool Implementation Support: Contribute to the implementation of future finance and accounting tools for enhanced reporting and efficiency.
- Collaborative Engagement: Foster regular communication with subsidiaries and shared service centers to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Regulatory Submissions: Manage regulatory and reporting submissions to relevant authorities as required.
- Other Accounting Tasks: Support a range of activities typically associated with an accounting department.
The Ideal candidate
We’re looking for a highly skilled professional who brings the following to the table:
• A degree in Finance or a related field
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally from audit or a large, listed business’ accounting department
• Deep knowledge of IFRS and K3 accounting standards
• Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyze and manage data efficiently
• A keen eye for detail and accuracy in every aspect of your work
• Experience with SAP ERP and/or AARO consolidation tools is a strong plus
