Sales Area Manager

The opportunity
We’re currently looking for a Sales Area Manager to join our Commercial Operations team in Korea. In this role, you will oversee and guide our Polestar Spaces and fleet partners within the Korea network, ensuring they deliver outstanding customer experiences and achieve sales targets. You will play a key role in Polestar’s growth journey by driving sales performance and fostering strong business relationships.
You will drive sales performance, strengthen business relationships, and identify new growth opportunities in both retail and fleet channels. Key responsibilities include overseeing sales operations, setting and monitoring sales goals, coaching Space Specialists, and ensuring compliance with Polestar standards. You will also provide data-driven performance analysis and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance Space operations, optimize stock management, and advance Polestar’s vision of innovative and sustainable mobility.
This position is located at our Polestar Automotive Korea office in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and we believe in a hybrid work model that balances in-person collaboration with focused remote work. Due to the nature of this role, frequent travel within the region will be required.
The responsibilities
In this role, you'll be expected to drive sales performance and ensure seamless customer experience across our Polestar Spaces. Working as a member of the Sales team, you’ll play a key role in shaping and executing regional sales strategies.

- Provide strategic leadership to Polestar Spaces, driving exceptional sales performance and customer experience.
- Set clear sales goals and performance standards, offering regular coaching and feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Analyze sales performance and market data to identify growth opportunities and address challenges proactively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, fostering effective collaboration within the Korean network.
- Lead training and development initiatives to strengthen sales capability, product expertise, and brand consistency.
- Ensure full compliance with Polestar’s operational standards and business objectives.
- Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities, adapting strategies to sustain Polestar’s growth and innovation
- Elevate sales capability and professionalism of Space Specialists to meet the demands of Polestar’s expanding premium product lineup.

In addition, you'll need the following qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in an automotive or client-oriented retail environment
- Experience in premium automotive brands and retail (preferred)
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of building and managing strong business relationships
- Strong understanding of sales principles, data analysis, and performance optimization
- Written and verbal English skills are preferred
