Information Security Coordinator
The opportunity
Following recent K-ISMS audit findings and the continued development of Polestar Korea’s information security, we are establishing the role of Information Security Coordinator.
As Information Security Coordinator, you will act as the designated coordination point between Polestar Korea and Polestar HQ Security, supporting local information security governance, compliance-, audit-, and evidence coordination, stakeholder engagement, issue follow-up and escalation.
This position is located at Polestar Automotive Korea office in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. We believe in a hybrid model when it comes to remote and onsite work, knowing that both in-person collaboration and individual time to focus are needed. What matters most is that people get the time, and support, to do what needs to be done. And to enjoy doing it, of course.
Let us describe the challenge we offer
Information security relies on clear ownership, structured coordination, and close collaboration between local teams and Polestar HQ Security.
In this role, you will help ensure that Polestar Korea can coordinate and demonstrate local information security activities in a structured and documented way. You will work with local stakeholders and HQ Security Department to coordinate K-ISMS-related activities, collect and maintain evidence, follow up on actions and findings, and support audits, assessments and certification-related activities.
For work performed within the Information Security Coordinator role, priorities, governance activities, working methods, and deliverables are functionally governed by the Head of Information Security at Polestar HQ.
What you'll do
You will support the local operation of information security governance in Polestar Korea.
Coordinate local information security activities.
Support K-ISMS and other relevant information security compliance activities.
Coordinate information security audits, assessments, reviews and certification-related activities.
Coordinate collection and maintenance of information security evidence and documentation.
Track and follow-up actions, findings, issues, dependencies, and corrective actions.
Acts as the local liaison between Polestar Korea and Polestar HQ Security.
Support engagement with relevant local stakeholders.
Escalate blockers, overdue actions, unclear ownership, and material information security issues when required.
Provide periodic status updates to Polestar HQ Security.
Who you are
You are a structured and collaborative professional who enjoys coordinating activities across different stakeholders and functions. You are comfortable working with documentation, follow-up, governance, compliance and continuous improvement.
You do not need to be an information security specialist today. We believe successful candidates may come from different backgrounds where coordination, governance, compliance, controls, audit, quality, risk or process management are already part of their work.
To be a great fit for this position we believe you have:
Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
A structured and methodical approach to planning, documentation, and follow-up.
Experience from areas such as governance, compliance, quality management, internal control or audit, risk management, process management, finance controls, legal operations, HR governance, or similar disciplines.
Good communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders across functions.
Good judgement in escalating issues, risks, blockers, or unclear ownership.
An interest in learning more about information security.
At Polestar, you will be part of a cross-functional and international team, with English as a natural language for written and spoken communication. Since Polestar’s in a scale-up phase you thrive by working in a fast-paced environment.
No previous information security experience?
That is perfectly fine. The Information Security Coordinator role is designed for employees with strong coordination, governance, compliance, audit, risk quality, or similar backgrounds.
Successful candidates will receive training, onboarding, and ongoing support from the Polestar HQ Security organization to develop the knowledge required to perform the role effectively.
