Training Manager, Product & Customer Experience

The Training Manager will manage and oversee all things revolving around our customer in North America. You will be an expert facilitator with a passion for engaging you audience across sales, customer experience and product training. You will be responsible for driving our learning experience, develop engaging content, and deliver a best-in-class experience for our retail partners and Customer Experience Center. In this role you will ignite your passion through developing, transforming, and delivering innovative operational training for our customer-facing personnel at Polestar. The Training Manager will drive North American market needs while collaborating closely with Polestars global headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden.
This position will require 15 – 20% overnight travel throughout North America.
What you’ll do
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of engaging and comprehensive training programs across various teams including technicians, sales staff, and customer experience center staff.
- Ensure alignment of all programs and initiatives with company objectives, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate training sessions both in-person and virtually across our U.S. & Canadian markets, providing hands-on demonstrations, workshops, and interactive learning experiences to ensure the effective transfer of knowledge.
- Continually assess training effectiveness and modify approaches as necessary to improve learning outcomes and evaluate the skills and competencies to identify business needs and areas for improvement.
- Track progress and performance through evaluations, tests, and feedback, ensuring continuous development for all internal and external staff.
- Provide training recommendations and solutions to support business goals and objectives.
- Foster a collaborative learning environment by encouraging knowledge sharing across teams.
- Manage the training budget, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and training programs are cost-effective.
- Source and manage external training resources, vendors and consultants when necessary for all training events and initiatives.
- Stay current with automotive trends, technologies, and best practices to integrate into training materials.
Who you are
- 5 – 7 years of experience in a training role with a focus on consumer facing, or technical training.
- Previous experience working in automotive for a premium OEM highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated ability delivering training and individual coaching sessions in a retail environment.
- Experience designing, developing, and delivering training programs, both in-person and remotely.
- Ability to assess learning outcomes and adjust training strategies for continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and other e-learning tools is a plus.
- You are a natural at coaching others, with the ability to motivate and inspire an audience.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail when managing competing projects and priorities.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing customer data and insights which ensure that the customer journey and experience is at the heart of everything we do
- A passion for automotive technology and customer service excellence.
- Strong knowledge of EV products, services, and industry standards.
