Senior Software Engineer - Connected Workshop
The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to support Polestar’s Aftermarket.
This position is located at our Gothenburg, Sweden offices. We believe in a hybrid model when it comes to remote and onsite work, knowing that both in-person collaboration and individual time to focus are needed. What matters most is that people get the time, and support, to do what needs to be done. And to enjoy doing it, of course.
The responsibilities
You will be part of the Connected Workshop team within the Digital Aftermarket area. The team is responsible for the development and maintenance of several data products.
You will work primarily with three products: the Fleet Telematic Service, MotherBrain (Insight analytical platform) and Aftermarket Connect (aftermarket data service layer). The team is also responsible for the Digital Twin and as a Software Engineer at Polestar, you will be a creator, transforming Polestar's digital vision into working solutions by building digital products, platforms and services using the very latest technology. Thereby, you will, have a direct influence on the digital solutions functionality and how users will interact with it. You will also have to stay on top of the ever-changing technological landscape and invest significant energy in evolving your skills.

You will report to the Digital Product Manager for Aftermarket.
See below for a more thorough breakdown of the various tasks and areas you'll be responsible for:
- Build applications, often in close collaboration with designers, business analyst, product owner and fellow SW engineers, to optimize trade-offs between technical functionality and end-user experience
- Design and develop the business logic and back-end/front-end systems of the digital products
- Ensure the code follows latest coding practices and industry standards
- Write both unit and integration tests, and develop automation tools for daily tasks
- Challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions
- Maintaining a close relation to Competence Group Leads and Solution Architect to ensure latest guidelines and guardrails are followed when developing digital solutions

It is essential that you have the following experience/qualifications:
- Relevant experience working as a Senior Software Engineer, with deep insight into newest technologies and trends, as well as relevant programming experience
- Proven experience within the following technical components: Node.js/TypeScript, AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, Amazon EventBridge, DynamoDB
- Deep knowledge of Object-Oriented programming and engineering principles
- Sound experience from developing applications in a cloud environment
- Experience from working with event driven micro services
- Can write effective unit and integration tests
- Experience as a developer on a cross-functional agile team preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly process and analyse information
- MSc in Software Engineering or similar subject
