The Opportunity

The Corporate Controller will join a dynamic, global team and will be based at Polestar HQ, Gothenburg. The role will report to the Global PMO Manager of Internal Control. We understand that work-life balance isn’t easy and welcome our employees to work from home a few days per week if needed. We believe in empowerment.
The Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the global Delegation of Authority work at Polestar. Enhance and maintain the Delegation of Authority and supporting processes and ensure that the Delegation of Authority is understood by the organization.
- Own and coordinate the controls related to Segregation of Duties and Single Sensitive Access.
- Act as a key stakeholder and provide requirements on security design in relevant system implementation or development projects.
- Lead and participate in Project Management. Provide Guidance to team, support team to kickoff, milestone, deliver and close Key Projects.
- Coach and advise business operations in risk management and control performance.
- Interact with different functions within the organization, such as business operations, finance, digital and management.
- Provide and facilitate Internal Control related trainings.
The Ideal Candidate
You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or other relevant area and a minimum of five years of experience in a relevant position. You have related experience in DoA and SoD and you have a good understanding of financial flows and experience in financial business processes, internal controls, financial audit, or accounting.
For this role, you need to have a strong business acumen, have a natural curiosity to question and seek problem resolution, both on a high- and detailed level and be performance driven, and enjoy the challenge of unfamiliar tasks.
In addition, you bring:
- Experience in Multi-national companies is preferred
- Experience in US listed companies and familiar with US SOX Compliance is preferred
- You understand and can communicate with stakeholders on different levels within different areas
- Structured with great project management skills and can prioritize based on relevance
