Video Editor
The opportunity
Polestar Creative is a part of our Brand & Marketing department. With a focus on organic social, assets production, campaigns and CRM, the team consists of talents such as copywriters, art directors, graphic designers, photographers, and producers. All functions work cross-functionally, led by our Project Managers and Production Leads.
We are now looking to expand with a Video Editor. An important role for our creative team since a lot of the content we produce is used on many different platforms communicating our core messages.
The position is located at our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden. We understand that work-life balance isn’t easy, and of course, welcome our employees to work flexible hours and from home sometimes if needed. We believe in empowerment.
What you'll do
As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for editing and grading of brand adherent video content in multiple formats designed for a range of channels, such as Organic Social, .com, paid media and internal comms.
Production is to be in accordance with the prioritized backlog for the creative team. You will need to be able to take directions from the Director of Photography and Art Director as well as other creative leads. You will work closely with our content and marketing teams to ensure that our video content is of the highest quality and aligned with our brand identity.
You will be accountable for:
- Postproduction of video content intended for Polestar’s paid and owned channels, according to concepts and ideas generated mainly by the Art Director and the Copywriter.
- Working together with our creative team to understand video requirements and create engaging and compelling video content.
- Staying up to date and be adherent to brand and visual guidelines of Polestar.
- Staying up to date with video trends to ensure that our content remains fresh and engaging.
- Optimizing video content for different platforms and aspect ratios.
- Manage and organize video assets and archives.
Who you are
We believe you enjoy working in a team, receiving, and giving input in a creative atmosphere. You enjoy large projects as well as smaller ad-hoc documentation and fast productions and you can be flexible to go off site for productions when needed. You also have good knowledge of different digital platforms and formats.
To be a great match for this position we believe you possess:
- Proven experience as a video editor, with a portfolio of completed video projects.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
- Strong understanding of video production processes, including storyboarding, filming, editing, and post-production.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends.
- Ability to achieve the desired visual style and mood through color correction and grading.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and visual aesthetics.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of motion graphics and animation.
