Workshop Technician
We have opportunities to join our workshop team for Technician's with hands on vehicle experience. These opportunities are available on an initial contract basis until the end of December 2024.

Polestar is currently looking to recruit a Workshop Technician on a contract basis, initially until the end of December 2024.

What you’ll do:
- Build, prepare and maintain Polestar vehicles keeping them to the highest possible standards
- Have the ability to diagnose any potential issue across the Polestar range of vehicles
- Have knowledge of whole vehicle instrumentation on test / development vehicles
- Understand whole vehicle diagnostics using DSA or equivalent OE equipment
- Maintain accurate vehicle records
- Have knowledge of health and safety and cleanliness within the establishment ideally 5S
- Liaise with engineers & have hands on approach
- Understanding of vehicle build and associated procedures / Birth Certs / Man Eng etc
- Keep abreast of modern processes and equipment (working methodologies)
- Clearly interpret and action engineer’s requirements
Who you are
To be successful in this role you will be able to work effectively in a team environment, with good communication skills. You thrive in a fast paced environment and enjoy being able to work off of your own initiative.
- It is expected that the successful candidate will come from mechanical or vehicle testing background having completed a technical apprenticeship (NVQ3) or equivalent
- Must have hands on vehicle experience
- Ideally knowledge of EV’s and hybrid vehicles
- Capable of interfacing with modern day vehicle electrical systems
- Ideally have motorsport/automotive experience
- Computer literate
- Understanding of appropriate Health and Safety requirements
- Desirable: Level 3 /4 EV – Hybrid qualification (IMI)
